The publication accompanies the video work “5262”, which explores identity through numbers associated with different systems of personal identification, such as a membership card number, a user ID on a digital platform or a health insurance number.

Expanding on the theme of the video, the publication brings together quotations from Mark B. N. Hansen’s “Bodies in Code”, the project’s primary theoretical reference, alongside photographs, numerical identifiers and an artist’s statement. Through these elements, it examines the relationship between digital identity and the physical body, as well as the ways in which a person is reduced to numerical codes within different systems.

The publication is printed on tracing paper in B2 format, with its transparency further emphasising the overlapping physical and digital layers of identity.
