The “Bareform” project is a postpartum care system that explores “friction” as an inherent part of early motherhood. After giving birth, women recover physically while adapting to breastfeeding and changes in identity, yet postpartum care often remains overlooked or surrounded by stigma. Rather than treating friction as something to overcome, the project reframes it as an experience that should be met with care, empathy and greater visibility.

The name combines bare, referring to vulnerability, and form, representing transformation. A modular refillable packaging system integrates nipple cream and breast pads within a compact format for everyday use and travel. A removable inner container improves portability, while a recessed compartment provides quick access to the cream. The packaging opens through a sequence of layered interactions that symbolically reflects the process of recovery.

A digital platform accessed through an integrated QR code extends support beyond the physical product. It provides breastfeeding guidance, verified resources and a space where mothers can connect, share experiences and support one another. Together, the physical product and digital extension form a connected care system addressing the physical, emotional and social dimensions of the postpartum experience.
