The “Good Night” bookend is inspired by the habit of reading before sleep and the question of how books are stored during these moments. Unlike conventional bookends, which are typically heavy and rigid, the project explores an alternative approach to storage through the use of a soft, tactile material.

The object consists of fabric that wraps around the books like a blanket and an aluminium rod with a dual function. The rod acts as a weight that stabilises the books, while also serving as a bookmark or a support for two books currently being read.
The project connects the practical act of storage with the intimate ritual of evening reading, transforming the bookend into a soft and adaptable object for the bedside environment.
