Botanica obscura

Project

“Botanica obscura” is a three-piece jewellery collection that combines mechanical structures with botanical forms. The elements are joined by visible bolts and nuts, emphasising a forced and interrupted fusion rather than a seamless connection. Metal mechanical elements represent power, control, and stability, while transparent botanical elements introduce fragility and an organic touch.

Although the collection is crafted using digital 3D modelling and additive manufacturing, the pieces retain the scale, wearability, and hand-assembled character of traditional jewellery. In contrast, a fully metal botanical bracelet represents the strength of a simple flower. The collection explores the tension between nature and engineering, and between modern production methods and established approaches.
