Come Bask

Project

The project Come Bask is a series of posters inspired by the art of Zoran Šimunović. It was created for the Klovićevi Dvori Gallery as part of the Promotional Design course.

Zoran Šimunović’s work brings together figuration and abstraction and is deeply connected to memory, childhood experiences, and the evocation of joy. His paintings are characterised by intense colours, playful forms, and motifs drawn from everyday life, often perceived as a kind of “ray of sunshine”, reflecting different periods of the artist’s life.
The concept of the poster series draws on Šimunović’s artistic approach and its strong emotional impact, with each poster structured around the idea of different “phases of the artist”.
The first poster represents the intimate inner world of the individual, exploring personal experience, emotion, self-understanding, and the search for identity. The central poster is dedicated to prominent painters of Croatian modern and contemporary art who shaped the artistic scene of the 20th century, symbolising a journey of learning and the search for inspiration. The final poster presents committed creators from different artistic fields showcasing the works of which they are most proud.

Sveučilište Sjever is a unique institution dedicated to fostering innovation and creativity across various study areas, including biomedicine, media, communication and design, and STEM fields. It operates in Koprivnica and Varaždin and is strongly focused on practicality and applicability. The University supports and enables students to fully develop in their chosen field by organising exhibitions, student festivals, collaborations with potential employers, professional internships, workshops, and guest lectures.

The Media Design study programme lasts six semesters and is located in the Koprivnica university centre. The curriculum encourages interdisciplinary and critical thinking. Students are encouraged to explore new media, the history and development of design, graphic tools, photography, video, theatre, animation, 3D design, visual presentations, and drawing. The first year of study is dedicated to technical and theoretical knowledge, while the second and third years focus on practical work. During their studies, students engage in extensive multimedia storytelling and collaborations with real brands to build their own portfolios.

Sveučilište Sjever cultivates a calm, alternative, and bicycle-friendly campus atmosphere. Students are highly visible in the cultural life of the city and frequently collaborate with local brands such as Podravka, and independent spaces like FUNK or AK gallery.
