Dispozitiv

Project

The design of the magazine Dispozitiv is based on the tension between precise typographic structure and visual openness. The cover features an original photograph of the Academy building, captured from an unusual angle, introducing a perspective of inquiry and critical reflection from the very first glance. On the back cover, the same photograph is reinterpreted through artificial intelligence: the system analysed the original image, independently generated a prompt, and used it to create a new image. In this way, the design speaks through its own medium about the central theme of the first issue – art in the age of the Technocene.

The interior is structured around a strict two-column grid and a clearly defined typographic hierarchy that relies solely on contrasts in scale, without decorative elements. The cyan opening pages of individual articles rhythmically interrupt the black-and-white flow, introducing chromatic energy into an otherwise restrained layout. Photographs and reproductions of artworks are integrated as full-page images, sharing space equally with the text and establishing a balance between text-led articles and those driven by visual information. The design is not intended to illustrate the content, but to structure it.
