The project “Croatian Rulers – King Tomislav” is the first in a series of limited-edition numismatic releases developed for the Croatian Mint and the Croatian National Bank. Conceived as an annual collectors’ series, this edition dedicated to King Tomislav establishes its central concept and visual system.

Each medal connects a Croatian ruler with a tree characteristic of the local landscape, bringing together historical symbolism and natural heritage. The motifs extend across the obverse and reverse of the medal, while the packaging continues the narrative through olive wood and a distinctive colour assigned to each ruler. The identity of the series is defined by a stylised crown integrated into the Croatian chequerboard motif.

The box is shaped like the top of a crown and conceived as a modular element of a collection that grows with each new edition. In addition to protecting the medal, it also serves as a display stand suitable for collectors’ spaces and trade fairs.
