Love International festival

Project
The project “Love International Festival – Poster and Leaflet” was developed as part of the Visual Communication Design 2 course during the second semester of the first year of study. The assignment involved designing a poster and leaflet, as well as developing a compact visual identity system for Love International, an annual festival held in Tisno.
Vertical gradient-filled bands on the poster suggest the repetition and rhythm of electronic music, while the varied colour palette reflects the diversity and vibrancy of the festival audience. The colours symbolise key elements of the event, including the sun, sea, night and love. Contemporary typography maintains the festival’s established character, while the fragmented word “LOVE” evokes the movement of a dancing crowd and the fluidity of the festival experience.
The leaflet is made from a 297 × 297 mm square sheet of paper. When fully folded, it resembles a festival wristband, while unfolded it becomes a hand fan, a symbol associated with the disco and queer communities that strongly influenced festival culture. One side presents the line-up, while the other provides practical information for visitors.
