The project “Poster Series for Teatar &TD” comprises three theatre posters created for Zagreb’s Teatar &TD, an institution known for its progressive and avant-garde programme. The aim was to develop a strong and dynamic visual whole for three thematically distinct plays – “Mamina kći vuk”, “Mornar” and “Žena popularnog pokojnika” – while connecting them into a coherent series.

The visual language follows a cynical and strongly atmospheric tone, directly reflecting the dark humour and psychological tension embedded in the performances. The design is based on strong contrasts and a strictly limited colour palette of deep black, earthy browns and muted ochre. Its distinctive illustrative approach is further emphasised through bold ink shadows and raster textures.

All three posters share the same compositional logic: an enigmatic figure framed by classical columns appears in the background, while sharply rendered, expressive characters occupy the foreground, emphasising human flaws and absurdity. Consistent typography, uniform margins and logo placement create a recognisable visual system for the theatre. At the same time, each poster functions as an independent work, relying on bold visual storytelling and an unconventional narrative approach.
