The exhibition “Wind in the Fibres” explores the seascape through textile and experimental techniques, transforming the gallery space into an interpretation of an underwater ecosystem. Inspired by the forms, structures and processes found in the sea, it connects art, materiality and contemporary ecological concerns.

The “Infinite Loop” collection consists of crocheted structures reminiscent of seagrass, algae and coral. Their descent through the space creates an impression of underwater currents and movement characteristic of the marine environment. The suspended textile installations are inspired by the morphology of coral and underwater vegetation, while their organic forms evoke the complexity and interconnectedness of marine habitats.

The “Plastic Fibres” series uses discarded plastic bags and mesh sacks as artistic material. The works address marine plastic pollution, creating a contrast between the beauty of the underwater world and the materials that threaten it. Blue jellyfish-like installations further emphasise the presence of life within this imagined ecosystem.

By combining textiles, recycled materials and references to marine biology, the exhibition reflects on the relationship between humans and the sea and raises awareness of the importance of preserving marine ecosystems.
