Tuškanac Cinema

Project

The starting point for the poster design of three different film cycles at Tuškanac Cinema was the pixel. Based on this concept, a visual language was developed using squares, circles and lines forming an X shape. These geometric elements overlap with typography, creating dynamic compositions and a distinctive visual rhythm.

Each poster uses a colour palette corresponding to the theme of its cycle. A black-and-white palette was chosen for the Croatian Crime Film Cycle, shades of pink for the Love Triangles cycle, and shades of blue for the Distribution cycle. To connect all three posters, motifs drawn from tarot cards were used: Justice, the Three of Swords and the Magician.

The brochure was designed in two colours: the lightest pink from the Love Triangles poster and the darkest blue from the Distribution poster. The overall visual identity is further unified through the use of geometric forms that also appear on the posters, as well as photographs rendered in monochromatic pink.
