The “Pearls of the Karst” vase collection by Printique.me emerges at the intersection of tradition, technology and contemporary art. The project is based on authentic Montenegrin vases from local heritage museums, whose original forms, proportions and ornamental details were precisely captured through 3D scanning.

These historical forms are further developed through inspiration drawn from the artistic language of Yayoi Kusama, recognised for her iconic polka dots that symbolise infinity, repetition and the connection between the individual and the universe. Within this collection, the dotted motif is not treated as a direct copy, but as a starting point for the development of an original visual expression. Traditional forms are transformed through complex dot patterns that enhance, reinterpret or completely reshape the original ornaments, giving them a contemporary dimension.
By combining 3D scanning, digital modelling and 3D printing, the project creates vases that connect past and future. Each piece speaks of preserving cultural heritage through innovative technologies and sustainable production, using environmentally responsible materials. The collection establishes a dialogue between local identity, global artistic inspiration, traditional craftsmanship and digital innovation.
