Unpacking Intimacy: ORCHIDEA

Project
The “Orchidea” project reimagines a user’s first encounter with an intimate wellness product by transforming unboxing into a guided, educational and emotionally engaging experience. While premium products in this category often focus on aesthetics and performance, their use is frequently explained through technical instructions enclosed within disposable packaging. “Orchidea” proposes a packaging system that informs, reassures and empowers the user.
Inspired by the orchid as a symbol of beauty, intimacy and confidence, the packaging opens like a picture book. The product, its features and its safe use are introduced gradually through carefully designed visuals and narrative. Rather than overwhelming the user with instructions, each interaction encourages exploration, curiosity and self-discovery, while helping to normalise conversations about sexual wellness.
Structural design and accessible educational content are combined within a coherent experience that extends beyond the packaging’s protective function. Every compartment, message and opening mechanism serves a clear purpose: to reduce uncertainty, support informed use and create an emotional connection between the user, the product and the brand.
“Orchidea” demonstrates how packaging can become an active part of the product experience – a tool that educates, empowers and transforms an often-overlooked intimate moment into something meaningful and memorable.
