WEAVE

Project
The project “WEAVE — Educational Booklet” is a self-initiated work focused on public education and the preservation of local biodiversity. The printed booklet is designed as a visual and informative guide to birdlife in the Trnjanska Savica neighbourhood, as well as a practical handbook for responsible coexistence with birds.
The project developed from “WEAVE”, a modular system of bird habitats and feeders co-designed by Grgur Klement, Stuart Sanderson and Nina Barušić during the fourth semester of their Industrial Design studies. The system consists of steel frames that the local community reweaves each year using natural materials, creating habitats and feeders adapted to birds from the surrounding area.
The booklet extends the system’s purpose through education, connecting design, community participation and care for the urban ecosystem.
