Ana Salopek lives and works in Ogulin under the name Gospođica Ura. Alongside illustration, she writes and explores visual storytelling, and is the author of “Što ako”, the first Croatian wordless picture book for children, published in 2022. Her work has been presented in numerous exhibitions in Croatia and abroad.

Anne Renaud’s “Ferdinand Cheval: The Postman Who Delivered a Palace”, illustrated by Salopek, received the Junior Library Guild Gold Standard recognition. Aljoša Vuković’s children’s poetry collection “Tko živi na nebu?”, for which she created the illustrations and graphic design, was selected among the most beautiful Croatian books of 2022.
Maja Klarić is a poet, translator and literary editor from Šibenik. She organises the “Šumski pjesnici” gathering in Butori near Grožnjan and the Vesna Parun residency on the island of Zlarin. She also runs Bookmobil, a travelling bookshop dedicated to promoting reading. In 2023, she received the Croatian Reading Association’s “Đurđa Mesić” Award for her outstanding contribution to reading and literacy.
She has published seven books, including collections of travel poetry and prose-poetry travelogues about the Camino de Santiago and a pilgrimage to 88 Buddhist temples in Japan. Her book “Deset dugih dana” received the Croatian Writers’ Association’s “Joža Horvat” Award for the best travelogue in 2024.
