ZGrada explores the relationship between urban development and the gradual disappearance of natural landscapes in Zagreb. The work stems from daily observations of Zagreb as a city in continuous transformation. In this space, trees, green areas, and old buildings, which carry collective memory and identity, are increasingly giving way to new constructions. The city grows, but at the same time loses the layers that have shaped its character.

The tapestry depicts architectural forms devoid of nature's presence, thus visualising the sense of imbalance between the built and natural environment. The diversity of colours within the composition reflects the city's dynamism and its constant transformation. Its relief surface, with its volume and texture, evokes the furrows of the earth, fields, and the organic structure of the landscape, creating a contrast between the building motifs and the materiality that evokes nature.

ZGrada is not a critique of architecture itself, but rather a reflection on humanity’s relationship with the space it shapes.
