ZID

Project
The experimental magazine “ZID” was created as part of the Newspaper and Magazine Design course in response to the lack of a physical gallery space for Media Design students at the University North in Koprivnica. Conceived as a paper gallery, it provides a platform for presenting student work and encouraging creative dialogue.
Moving beyond the conventional magazine format, the publication is structured as an accordion that unfolds horizontally, transforming reading material into a spatial object. When fully extended, it becomes a freestanding and portable gallery wall.
The front displays student work, while the reverse functions as an exhibition guide with a curatorial text. By adopting the structure of a gallery, “ZID” moves beyond the boundaries of print and turns paper into a shared space for artistic presentation, exchange and community.
